Placements can be made in any of the following cities: Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Nanchang, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Suzhou, Tianjin, Wuxi, Zhuhai
A professional placement is individually arranged for each fellow based on his professional interest, background, and qualifications. Although Fellows occupy professional positions, they do not receive compensation from their host institution. Fellows should expect to commit to a 20-25 hour weekly commitment in their placement/internship role.
GLF provides competitive professional placement opportunities to each Fellow, though candidates are encouraged to be flexible and open to non-traditional work placements. Placements vary in industries and fields, and GLF considers a range of issues when arranging professional placements with local partners (job availability, prior experience, requirements, etc.). The program is primarily a cultural experience first and foremost and successful applicants should consider this opportunity as a means of broadening their understanding and appreciation for other cultures.
